The nominees of the 2023 Annual Golden Raspberry Awards, or the Razzies, have been announced. This marks the 43rd production of this award show. The Razzies bring a focus to the negatives of cinema just before the major awards come out with the Oscars and Academy Awards.

The biopic about Marilyn Monroe on Netflix, Blonde, is featured a whopping 8 times for Worst Picture, Remake/Ripoff/Sequel, Supporting Actor (x2), Screen Couple (x2), Director, and Screenplay. Joining Blonde in the Worst Picture category would be Disney’s Pinocchio, Good Mourning, The King’s Daughter, and Morbius.

The Worst Screenplay category is made up of Blonde / Written for the Screen by Andrew Dominik (adapted from the “Bio-Novel” by Joyce Carol Oates), Disney’s Pinocchio / Screenplay by Robert Zemeckis & Chris Weitz (Not Authorized by the Estate of Carlo Collodi), Good Mourning / “Written” by Machine Gun Kelly & Mod Sun, Jurassic World: Dominion / Screenplay by Emily Carmichael & Colin Treverrow (story by Treverrow & Derek Connolly), and Morbius / Screen Story and Screenplay by Matt Sazama & Burk Sharpless.

One of the most questionable nominations this year lies in the Worst Actress category. Ryan Kiera Armstrong, who is only 12, is there for her role in Firestarter. Other nominees include Bryce Dallas Howard / Jurassic World: Dominion, Diane Keaton / Mack & Rita, Kaya Scodelario / The King’s Daughter, and Alicia Silverstone / The Requin.

The rest of the nominations can be found on their news page here. These quote-unquote awards will come out on March 11th, a day ahead of the Academy Awards.
