Fans of animation and the Godzilla franchise can expect a Godzilla anime series to be released soon, albeit with a surprising twist for the franchise. TOHO Animation Studio Orange, in conjunction with Thailand-based Igloo Studio, recently announced that they will be producing an as-yet-titled Godzilla anime series about a boy with the powers of Godzilla instead of actually featuring the fearsome monster itself, according to TOHO's Chief Godzilla Officer, Keiji Ota:

"This work is a first for the franchise, featuring a boy who possesses the power of Godzilla, and we believe it will be able to more deeply portray both the fear and hope of the modern era."

So far, other than the initial announcement at the Anime Festival Asia Singapore 2025, there have been no further details regarding its cast, release date, story etc. released by the studio other than some concept art for the series on their X account.
