Tom Cruise is returning to Warner Bros. Discovery for an exciting deal. The actor, known for his roles in Top Gun: Maverick, Risky Business, Interview With The Vampire, The Outsiders, The Last Samurai, and Rock of Ages will develop, produce, and star in original and franchise productions. As part of the deal, Cruise will have an office in Burbank, California. While Cruise has some history with the company, his last Warner Bros. film was Edge of Tomorrow, which was released in 2014. Since the deal is non-exclusive, Cruise will be able to continue his work with other studios.

The Warner Bros. Discovery co-chairs and CEOs Michael DeLuca and Pam Abdy expressed their excitement for the deal. Calling Cruise a “legend in the film industry,” the pair said, “Our vision, from day one, has been to rebuild this iconic studio to the heights of its glory days, and, in fact, when we first sat down with David Zaslav to talk about joining the Warner Bros Discovery team, he said to us, ‘We are on a mission to bring Warner Bros back – we have the best resources, storytelling IP, and talent in the business – and we need to bring Tom Cruise back to Warner Bros!’ Today, that becomes a reality and we are one step closer to achieving our ambition. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Tom back to Warner Bros and look forward to bringing more of his genius to life on screen in the years ahead.”

I look forward to making great movies together!” Cruise stars in Paramount’s upcoming movie Mission Impossible 8 and an untitled project from Universal that is partly filmed in space.
