Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group Has A New President

Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group is turning over a new leaf as we head into the last few months of the year. According to Variety, the company is bringing on Gary Wordham as its new president of physical production!  Wordham will officially take on this role in October 2025, coming over from Universal Pictures as their Executive VP of physical production for the past 18 years. He will be stepping into this position with a long history of experience to back him up.

Wordham has been in the production game for over 30 years, with his first credited role on IMDb being the key office production assistant on Boys on the Side (1995). The creative has served as production supervisor on projects including The Patriot (1998), Shanghai Knights (2003), The Skeleton Key (2005), The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006), and Iron Man (2008). He has also served as production coordinator on projects such as Touch (1997), U Turn (1997), and episodes of Undressed in 2000. For the past 18 years, he has been involved with the physical production of Universal Studios’ projects to date. Warner Bros. handles a variety of projects, including DC films, series of various genres, and more. With Wordham’s experience, he matches the diverse catalog of Warner Bros. well.

Co-chairs of the Motion Picture Group, Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy, issued a statement to employees about the new hire (via Variety), “Working in close partnership with filmmakers and studio leadership, he will help deliver films from across the Motion Picture Group, leading global day-to-day physical production operations, including postproduction and VFX.” They wrapped their comments with a welcoming statement, “We are thrilled to have Gary join our team, and we hope you’ll join us in offering him a warm Warner Bros. welcome.”
