“And now for something completely different.” It's been 50 years since the release of Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and Shout! TV is celebrating with a 24-Hour Streaming Event. That’s right, on Saturday, June 21, you can see 24 hours of the Knights Who Say “Ni!”, the Black Knight, The Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog, and the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch. That’s not all, exclusive to the event are new interviews with three members of the Monty Python group, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, and Michael Palin, discussing their favorite memories from the production of the film. That’s a lot of Monty Python.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail was released on 3 April 1975 by EMI Films. The comedy troupe’s first original feature-length film, the Holy Grail, parodies the mythology of the legendary King Arthur, particularly the quest for the titular chalice that Jesus drank from. The film would later be used as the basis for the award-winning Broadway musical Spamalot! However, the original film continues to captivate new and old viewers alike, even if excessively quoting the film is considered old hat. Such is the talent of its cast and crew that we are even talking about it right now, so go check it out if you can!
