Metalocalyse has returned in a new trailer for Amon Amarth, Castle Rat, and Dethklok’s 2026 tour. Ten years after the show ended, Adult Swim finally gave the series a sendoff with 2023’s Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar. Although the movie wrapped up the series, Dethklok continues to live on with scheduled tours every year since. This time, teaming up with the Swedish death metal band, Aman Amarth, for The Amonklok Conquest Tour.
The trailer shows the band sitting around a boardroom table and being told they’ll be touring with Aman Amarth next year. When asked if they have any names for the tour that would combine the names of the bands, Nathan Explosion begins to list off numerous unrelated words. The band agrees that would be a good name until they’re joined by Johan Segg, who pitches the words “Vikings, berserkers, long ships, fjords, fire.” Eventually, The Amonklok Conquest is decided upon in editing.
Dethklok’s return has been a welcome gift to longtime fans of both the show and the band that formed from it. Fans of the band who may not know the tourmates can expect to be drawn in by both bands’ storytelling and heavy symphonic sounds. Dates and tickets for the tour can be found on the official Amonlok website. Metalocalypse can be streamed on Hulu, and Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar can be streamed on Hulu and HBO Max.
