Harry Potter fans will soon have a new way to dive back into the Wizarding World. Pottermore and Audible have teamed up to release full-cast audiobooks with over 100 actors for each of the original seven Harry Potter books. In addition to the voice actors, the audiobooks will include musical scores and real-world sound capture.

Pottermore Publishing chairman Neil Blair expressed his excitement for the project, “We are delighted to be collaborating with Audible on what will be a groundbreaking audio edition of the beloved Harry Potter stories. J.K. Rowling’s storytelling lends itself perfectly to the application of new audiobook technologies, and we’re certain this sophisticated, immersive audio experience will not only add a new listening dimension for existing fans but will introduce a whole new generation of listeners to the wizarding world.”

Audible already has the books available as single voice-overs with Stephen Fry and Jim Dale as well as Tales of Beedle the Bard performed by Jude Law, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them with Eddie Redmayne, Harry Potter: A History of Magic featuring Natalie Dormer, and Quidditch Through the Ages with Andrew Lincoln. The new audiobook experience will begin in late 2025 with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. The books will be released globally and in order, offering a fresh way for fans and newcomers to enjoy the stories.
