'Avatar: Seven Havens’ Gets Release Date For Paramount And A Teaser Trailer At SDCC

The Avatar is back. Just days before the movie focusing on Avatar Aang is set to launch on Paramount+, creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko revealed a trailer for their next project Avatar: Seven Havensat San Diego Comic-Con. This new series will consist of 26 episodes focused on the avatar after Korra, an earthbender named Pavi, and her twin Nisha.
The trailer opens with Pavi riding her cat monkey Geet across a desert. She finds Nisha and asks about their identical appearance. Pavi’s Airbender mentor Jae narrates that the world of Allura needs to be prepared, as their ancestors were not. The trailer shows that this world blames Avatar Korra for whatever destruction occurred between the two series. The footage cuts to different benders showing off their element and revealing that Nisha is an Earthbender too. The narration warns that humanity is not ready for the avatar to return, yet the avatar is the one thing they need most. The final shot shows Vaatu rising.

The trailer doesn’t reveal a lot about the new series, but more details are revealed in the official synopsis. It reads in part, “Set in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender, the original 26-episode, 2D-animated series centers around a young Earthbender who discovers she’s the new Avatar after Korra in a world shattered by a devastating cataclysm.” Whatever the nature of this cataclysm, fans will have to wait until the show releases for answers. The synopsis continues, “In this dangerous era, that title marks her as humanity’s destroyer, not its savior. Hunted by both human and spirit enemies, she and her long-lost twin must uncover their mysterious origins and save the Seven Havens before civilization’s last strongholds collapse.” Avatar: Seven Havens lands on Paramount+ on October 9, 2026, while Avatar Aang: The Last Airbenderhits the platform on July 25, 2026.
