Talk about a surprise! Avatar: Seven Havens has just been released, and already it’s been announced that the show has been renewed. Not for just one season, but 2, meaning that the show should last for at least four seasons.

Co-creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko were there at New York Comic Con to deliver the news, as were executive producers Ethan Spaulding and Sehaj Sethi, along with voice actors Saheli Khan (Pavi), and Major Curda (Jae). Janet Varney, the original voice of Korra, was also present as a moderator, and gave attendees a glimpse into the behind the scenes production.

But that’s not all; Avatar Kuruk: Wave of Chaos was also announced. A prequel starring one of Aang’s predecessors, Wave of Chaos follows Kuruk as a rebellious teenager, breaking with traditions to learn the four elements his own way, while having to avoid pirates, spirits and one angry teacher. Konietzko is serving as showrunner. With all this news, it appears that the new era of the Avatar franchise is here to stay. Is there anything exciting for any of our readers?
