Lasting from June 21st to June 27th this year, the Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2026 will feature a number of sneak peeks for upcoming DC animated projects.

As part of the wider Warner Bros. Animation showcase set to show off projects from Cartoon Network and more, the DC offerings this year are considerable. Perhaps most prominent among these is a world premiere look at the first part of Batman: Knightfall, a three-part animated film event based on the Bane-centered story arc from the 1993 and 1994 comics which also served to inspire Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises in 2012.

Other projects being shown off include Mister Miracle, My Adventures with Green Lantern, Starfire!, Creature Commandos and Batman: Caped Crusader, a vast slate of content quickly dwarfing the live-action DC offerings only some of these projects are connected to. Caped Crusader is probably one of the more interesting parts of this list, as a Batman series exclusively appearing on Amazon Prime, and currently set for an order of just two seasons, meaning Warner Bros. Animation has been making a project for a competing streaming service which will likely soon come to an end unless an extension deal is reached.

DC’s presentation will be hosted by Peter Safran, co-chairman and co-CEO at DC Studios, and Sam Register, president at Warner Bros. Animation, Cartoon Network Studios and Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe with a host of executive producers also appearing to talk about their projects.
