Since October 30, Disney-owned channels such as ABC and ESPN have gone dark on YouTube TV. Luckily, Alex Sherman of CNBC delivered “potential good news” on Friday about talks between Google and Disney. Sherman reported the two “getting very close” to a deal. Two weeks ago, Google and Disney entered into a dispute, prompting Disney to remove YouTube TV’s access to ESPN, ABC, and other “related channels”. According to nbcsports.com, the ones affected the most in this “corporate tug-of-war” are the “10 million YouTube TV subscribers” now behind on college and Monday Night Football. There is a greater chance of the Disney and Google corporations wanting to allow their fans the streaming and channel access they subscribed to. Given the popularity and reliance consumers have put on streaming, it would be important for companies to maintain their customer satisfaction, especially their sports-loving fans.
