A combination that has been a hit with fans for a while now is once again generating some hype, and propping up one of the most famous fan theories in internet history. A trailer for a new Lego Star Wars special coming to Disney+. Lego Star Wars: Rebuild The Galaxy is a view into an alternate Star Wars timeline. The trailer features the meme character Jedi Bob, as well as protagonists Sig Greebling and Yesi Scala trying to undo a drastic scrambling of roles of certain characters in the Star Wars universe, such as Ewok bounty hunters.

Those who enjoy fan service will likely love a lot of what was in the trailer, given the fact that it showed a popular fan-created character: Darth Jar-Jar. Originally from a Reddit thread where a user theorized that the Gungun was a Sith lord, pointing out the character’s lip movements, martial prowess, influence on others, and connections to Darth Sidious as reasons for him being a Sith lord, and further speculating that negative reaction to Jar-Jar by fans was responsible for George Lucas’ decision to pivot away from the character and to use Count Dooku instead.

Mark Hamill is confirmed to be returning as Luke Skywalker. The special will be available on September 13 on Disney+.
