Disney Officially Submitted 'Andor' Season 2 For 23 Emmy Categories

It should not come as a big surprise: in most of its marketing campaigns for the second season of Andor, Disney and Lucasfilm have emphasized the critical acclaim of the series.
So, it is only a natural continuation of that strategy that Disney submitted the show in no less than 23 Emmy categories for consideration:

Dan Gilroy is up against Mike White (The White Lotus) and Noah Wyle (The Pitt) in the category "Writing for A Drama Series" for the ninth episode of the season, "Welcome to the Rebellion". At the same time, Janus Metz will compete in the "Directing for A Drama Series" category for episode eight, “Who Are You?” with Mark Mylod (The Last of Us) and Ben Stiller (Severance).

Diego Luna is nominated as "Lead Actor in A Drama Series", and also earned a nomination as "Supporting Actor in a Drama Series" for his role as boxing coach Andy Lujan in Hulu’s miniseries La Máquina.
Stellan Skarsgård (Luthen Rael) and Kyle Soller (Syril Kam) hope for a nomination as best supporting actor, while four ladies were submitted for consideration as best supporting actress: Denise Gough (Dedra Meero), Adria Arjona (Bix Caleen), Faye Marsay (Vel Sartha), Elizabeth Dulau (Kleya Marki), and (of course) Genevieve O’Reilly (Mon Mothma).
Ben Mendelsohn (Orson Krennic), Forest Whitaker (Saw Gerrera), and Benjamin Bratt (Bail Organa) are submitted in the "Guest Actor in A Drama Series" category, and Alan Tudyk as best character voice-over for K-2SO.
Andor's season one earned eight Emmy nominations, including Best Drama Series, Best Writing, and Best Directing, but Disney hopes that the success of the second season will increase this number and also lead to several wins.
