The cast of Jon Favreau’s Disney + series centered on Oswald the Lucky Rabbit keeps growing, as Amy Sedaris officially joins the cast. She is joined by Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Mykal-Michelle Harris, and Ryder Allen. Plot details about the show are under wraps at the moment, but what we do know is that Sedaris is playing the mother of Allen’s character. This is the latest collaboration between the actress, best known for her work on Strangers with Candy, and Jon Favreau, who has been busy at work directing and creating many shows and movies, most prominently The Mandalorian.
Oswald the Lucky Rabbit was created in 1927 by Walt Disney and Ubbe Iwerks for Universal Pictures. The character would be an important milestone in Walt Disney’s career. After leaving Universal, Disney and Iwerks would create Mickey Mouse, and the start of their very own company. Oswald would remain with Universal until around 2006, when Disney acquired the rights and used him in the Epic Mickey games. The original Oswald character entered the public domain in 2023, though other versions are still under copyright. Oswald may not be as well-known as his conceptual brother, but he will remain an important part of the Walt Disney legacy.
