'Dungeons & Dragons' Has Joined The Ever Expanding 'Fortnite' Universe

The collaboration catalog of Fortnite continues to expand, this time working closely with Wizards of the Coast to bring Dungeons & Dragons to life within the game! Developers have launched “a special series of fan-made islands inspired by” the game. This collaboration is with Chartis and Teravision Games, well-known creators in the Fortnite community. There are five islands in total, each having a different focus, including a death run, a PvP arena, and a boss fight. Any player can join these islands, whether they're familiar with D&D or not. In a press release, Hasbro, the parent company of Wizards of the Coast, discussed the collaboration and its goals.
According to the press release, the islands were “designed as part of a ‘launch and learn’ initiative to explore how D&D can connect with a diverse range of Fortnite players in fun and meaningful ways.” It is made very clear that this event “is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Epic Games, Inc.” There are five islands in total. The DnD Boxfights island code is 1190-4691-0255, the DnD Treasure RNG island code is 4958-2624-5634, the DnD Dungeon Deathrun island code is 5806-6430-0158, and the DnD Bossfight island code is 2218-1049-5866. While the DnD Zombie Dragon Adventure is in early access, the island code is 2525-9596-3235.

D&D Franchise Strategy Director Nick Strann commented on the opportunity, “We're bringing the spirit of D&D homebrew to Fortnite — supporting creators, experimenting in new mediums, and learning how we can introduce D&D to new players.” He continued, “D&D already means so much to all those who have joined us at the table, and we hope that we can make it just as meaningful for millions of Fortnite fans.” Strann closed his comments on an optimistic note, “We very much look forward to hearing player feedback on these creator-made islands and using that feedback to shape future adventures wherever people love D&D.”
