LEGO has and has not shown off their next two Lord of the Rings sets.

On the one hand, they revealed today what has been long suspected and known on social media, and that’s the expansion of the LEGO helmet series to Lord of the Rings with a beautiful brick edition of Sauron’s helmet. In all it’s gray glory, and complete with a Sauron minifig and the One Ring on a display stand, it’s easily the tallest helmet LEGO has put out to date.

What they did not officially reveal today, but has been revealed through leaks, is the first look at the rumored Minas Tirith set as the next Icons set in the Lord of the Rings series.

After releasing Rivendell, then Baradur, and then Bag End last year, this year’s model was long suspected to be Minas Tirith. The first source below links to a post that has since been removed, however, the following two sources are pictures from the same event that was in the video of the first source.

In the pictures, you can see the telltale LEGO unveiling table, flanked by two demonstrators, and the impressive (and beautiful) LEGO rendition of Minas Tirith. It combines both Minifig scale and Microscale. From the front, facing the city, it’s Microscale. However, the lower portions of the city detach and when turned around are converted into Minifig scale portions of the city. Turn the whole model around, and there’s even more Minifig scale portions, complete with the throne room, the palantir room, and the library where Gandalf learned about the secret of the One Ring.

It comes with a complement of Minifigs perfect for any collector. Arwen and King Aragorn, as well as Gandalf the White and Pippin in Guard of the Citadel attire. Denethor and Faramir are also included, along with four soldiers of Gondor. And, perhaps the best bit, a white horse to represent Shadowfax.

No details about the price or the date have officially been released, as these are leaks and LEGO seems to have tried to take the post down, but it is highly suspected that it will be June 1st for a release, as that also lines up with the previous sets, and many speculate it to be upward of $600 or $650 for nearly 8000 pieces.
