‘Fortnite’ Is Undergoing A Galactic Takeover

Fortnite is known for its epic collaborations with franchises such as Star Wars, Marvel Studios, Dragon Ball, and My Hero Academia. These collaborations are typically focused on short amounts of time, and they will feature in-game events, weapons, and character skins. It was announced during the final day of Star Wars Celebration Japan that Star Wars was not only returning to Fortnite, but that it would be a full galactic takeover. The new season for Fortnite which will launch on May 2 will feature five different parts, each one focusing on a different aspect of our favorite galaxy far, far away.

There will be multiple in-game items such as themed maps and the ability to pilot and co-pilot X-wings and TIE fighters. The battle pass will feature iconic characters such as Emperor Palpatine and fun mashups like Wookiee Cuddle Team Leader. Characters such as Mace Windu will be available in the store, and it is promised that there are many other exciting surprises in store for fans. The event will feature things from every established Star Wars era. The five parts are: Imperial Takeover starting May 2, The Pull of the Force starting May 8, Mandalorian Rising starting May 22, Star Destroyer Bombardment starting May 29, and Death Star Sabotage starting June 7. The five part event will end with an in-game narrative live event that will have player’s “feeling like they’ve got the fate of the whole galaxy in their hands”.
