Star Wars Celebration Japan is over, but, of course, "there is another".

The closing ceremony typically gives away the time and location of the next Celebration, and Tokyo was no exception:

The Mecca for Star Wars fans will return to the US when the next Celebration will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center from April 1 to 4, 2027.

The last time a Star Wars Celebration was hosted at this venue was in 2007 for Star Wars Celebration IV. The other events in California, in 2015 and 2022, took place at the Anaheim Convention Center.

The event in Japan was a big one, with over 105,000 guests in attendance, an 8 percent increase from the 2023 convention in London.  55 percent of this year’s guests came from the Asia-Pacific region, with 47 percent from Japan and 31 percent from the U.S.

Altogether, fans traveled to the event from 125 countries, compared to 64 countries for the previous edition.

But the 2027 Celebration shapes up to be an even bigger one, as that year marks the 50th birthday of the beloved franchise, and Lucasfilm surely will do everything it can to celebrate this milestone in style.

By that time, The Mandalorian and Grogu will already be in the rear mirror, and it will be less than two months before the premiere of Star Wars: Starfighter.

The time when tickets become available will be revealed at a later time.
