'Hollow Knight: Silksong Sea Of Sorrow' Trailer Released

Team Cherry is suddenly quite chatty after years of silence prior to the release of Silksong earlier this year as, in a shocking move, they revealed a good chunk of news before the end of 2025, all about what is to come in 2026. The biggest piece of news: Yet more Silksong content!
A new, free DLC for all players who have purchased the game will release sometime later in 2026. Entitled Sea of Sorrow, a short trailer accompanied the announcement on the company website, displaying a few mysterious images. While many contain nautical imagery, as well as the sounds and sights of the sea, one strange image shows a cracked spherical dwelling or object attracting lightning to metal orbs emerging from the top of the mysterious structure.
The trailer ends on Hornet being illuminated by a rising spherical object, perhaps a submarine or some kind of diving bell, technology not unfamiliar to the lands of Pharloom. Further information about the DLC remains vague, though Team Cherry promises new areas, bosses, tools, and more. They also clarified that whenever we receive news about the DLC next, it will be shortly before Sea of Sorrow releases. While that could take some time, it is at least comforting they’re giving a clear indication of what signposts gamers can expect regarding when this new content will be released.
