James Gunn Introduces 'Peacemaker' Season 2 Trailer

“You have all been waiting a long time for this one. Here’s the new trailer for Peacemaker, season two. Enjoy.” These are the opening words to the season 2 trailer for Peacemaker, delivered by James Gunn himself. What follows is about two minutes of scenes from the upcoming season, with John Cena back in the role of Peacemaker. This comes after a Comic Con panel in which Gunn and various members of the cast were given a standing ovation by a 6,500-seat space, showing the enthusiasm people have for this project.

Peacemaker made its debut on HBO Max on January 13, 2022. Originally meant as a spin-off of the DC Extended Universe, it has since been recategorized under the DC Universe of DC Studios. It stars John Cena as the titular Peacemaker, who had previously played the role in The Suicide Squad, not to be confused with Suicide Squad. Season 1 featured Peacemaker being drafted into Project Butterfly by A.R.G.U.S., and hunting down parasitic butterfly creatures possessing human bodies.
