While Marvel is largely sitting out San Diego Comic-Con 2025, one of their former assets made a triumphant appearance for a competing brand.
James Gunn arrived at the Peacemaker panel in Hall H on Saturday, July 26th, to discuss the show’s second season. But upon his arrival, the director and writer was greeted by an ecstatic crowd in the 6,500-seat auditorium space, who gave him a standing ovation.

After the raucous welcome, everyone sat down to discuss the project. Grillo, when later asked to speak about joining the show’s second season, discussed the high value he put on an opportunity to work with Gunn and how he would willingly follow Gunn into any project.
