Announced late last year, it has been confirmed that the third season of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime series is coming out in January 2026. Subtitled The Culling Game, the trailer that announced the date shows more battles against a force that is growing stronger. Alongside this, Yuji Itadori faces the aftermath of the Shibuya Incident. Seen in the final episode of that arc, Yuta Okkotsu gets involved in battle, facing off against Itadori. As do Naoya Zen’in and Choso.
The first two episodes of this new season will be included in the new compilation film Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution, which brings together episodes of season two’s Shibuyu Incident Arc. That will arrive in North American theatres on December 5, with Japan getting it a month earlier on November 7. The third season of Jujutsu Kaisen will then premiere exclusively on Crunchyroll in January 2026.

Jujutsu Kaisen is an anime series based on the manga by Gege Akutami, telling the story of Yuji Itadori. A boy who holds the curse of Ryomen Sukuna inside him. Joining an organisation that fights curses, he hopes to exorcise the curse. Starting in 2020, the series became massively popular, gaining a theatrical film of Jujutsu Kaisen 0, an adaptation of the manga’s original one-shot story, which serves as a prequel to the main series. Yuta Okkotsu was the protagonist of that film.
