'LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild The Galaxy - Pieces Of The Past' Coming To Disney Plus In September

Last September, Disney+ premiered LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy, a four-parter in the typical wacky LEGO style. The story dealt with two brothers, Dev, ambitious to travel the galaxy, while Sig was happy to be a nerf-herder.
Everything changed when Sig removed the "cornerstone of the galaxy". Formerly green and lush planets turned into desert wastelands. Dev was suddenly a Sith Lord, joined by several apprentices, like Darth Rey, Darth Rose Tico, Darth Numbs, and, yes, Darth Jar Jar. Darth Vader was a Jedi, and Palpatine was a cranky old coward.
And Han Solo was a bad guy.
In the end, Sig, with the help of Jedi Bob and a girl named Yesi, was able to restore (or rather "rebuild") the galaxy, but the show ended with a cliffhanger when Dark Side Rey and Rose hired the bounty hunter Landorian and a sinister Grogu to hunt down Sig.
During Star Wars Celebration, the showrunners and writers of Rebuild the Galaxy, Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit, announced a sequel, called Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past.
“We’ve been asked, what’s next for Sig, Yesi, and Jedi Bob? Will there be more Darth Jar Jar?” Hernandez explained.“Star Wars Celebration fans, we’re excited to announce that their story will continue.”

Being on stage in Tokyo, Ahmed Best confirmed that he would be returning as Darth Jar Jar: "...I always wanted to explore this whole Darth Jar Jar thing. So when Rebuild the Galaxy came about, I was just like, oh, this is absolutely perfect. This is the best way to explore Darth Jar Jar and start talking about him. I got to do a whole bunch of comedy ad-libbing while we were doing it, which is my thing. I loved it."
Hernandez and Samit also revealed a poster for the new show, depicting Sig, a giant Chewbacca, Jaxxon, the infamous green rabbit from the very early days of Marvel's Star Wars comics from the late 70s, and a brickheadz version of Ahsoka Tano.
While Jaxxon will be voiced by comedian Ben Schwartz, Ashley Eckstein will be back to voice the Togruta once more.
“When I got the call that I was going to be returning as Ahsoka, I cried,” the actress told the fans at Star Wars Celebration, “I’ve missed her so much. I’ve missed you all so much. This has really been a dream come true. I am such a huge fan of LEGO. I have so many of these Ahsoka BrickHeadz and I now get to voice her!”
All four episodes of LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past will premiere on September 19, 2025, on Disney+.
