When it  comes to production, Beau DeMayo gave an exciting update as to how far along they are with this quote:

“[Production] is going really, really well. We’re just in post-production on Season 1 and [right now] writing the finale for Season 2,” said Beau. “I cannot be happier.”

Lucky fans who attended the panel were not only able to see these dedicated creators in person but they were also treated to a special look that will not be released publicly according to WhatsonDisneyPlus.com. The clip was a part of the first episode, which director Jake Castorena broke down after the fact:

“We showed a clip from the first episode that shows the X-Men going off [on] a mission to confront a new Sentinel threat.  And mid-mission they are unexpectedly attacked and have to use their Danger Room practice skills to save themselves.”

Moving onto the interview released on Marvel’s Youtube channel; the creators mostly spoke about their love for the original show and how they returned to continue it. Though writer Beau DeMayo leaves the interview with a mic drop giving fans a solid look into where this show picks up and what it deals with.

His breakdown includes spoilers for the original show, but he does state that the show will pick up just several months after the 90’s animated show.

Fingers crossed that the wait to hear that amazing theme song is not too much longer, but until then fans can get to watch or rewatch the 90’s cartoon on Disney+ to gear up for the release of X-Men ‘97.
