Pedro Pascal In Talks To Star In Tony Gilroy’s Film ‘Behemoth!’

Pedro Pascal has hit quite the career streak as of late, and he’s continuing to look towards the future. Writer, producer, and director Tony Gilroy is currently working on a film titled Behemoth! While little is known about the plot, according to Deadline, Pascal is interested in joining it. Not only that, but things are reportedly in motion for this to happen.
Pascal is well-known for his titular Star Wars role as Din Djarin in The Mandalorian. Some of his most recent roles include Ted Garcia in Eddington (2025), a reprise of Joel Miller in the second season of The Last of Us, and Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic in The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025). Gilroy’s most recent work was writing the Disney+ series Andor, a prequel to his film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016). Behemoth! Will be Gilroy’s first directing credit since The Bourne Legacy (2012).

Specific details about the film are being kept largely under wraps. In an interview with Deadline discussing Gilroy’s work and what’s next, the creative explained, “I wrote a movie Behemoth!, that I’m trying to get off the ground. It’s about movie music, the people who make it…I’ve been trying to raise the money, but I’ve been having a lot of trouble.” Further details reportedly indicate that the film will focus on a cellist and that Searchlight Pictures will finance the project. At this point in development, it has not been clarified whether it will have a theatrical run or go straight to streaming.
