'Red Dead Redemption 2' Mystery Quest Discovered After 7 Years

You would think that after 7 years, fans would’ve found all of the content in a game. That is not the case for Red Dead Redemption 2, however. The game is massive, and so it shouldn’t be surprising that 7 years later, fans have found a new mystery that they’re rushing to solve before the release of Grand Theft Auto VI.
The discovery is being called the ‘Spider Dream Mystery’. Recently, players have noticed spider webs appearing throughout the game, but only during specific times of day. It has also led fans to a secret message.
The mystery begins at a telephone pole near Cornwall Kerosene & Tar, marked with a carved spider. You will notice that the top of the pole features a spider web with a feather, which tends to appear only between the hours of 2-3 am or 3-4 am, and then vanish. The center contains a larger web that appears only during 1-2 am. This one doesn’t contain feathers and forms the shape of an ‘N’. The web at the top then leads to seven additional webs.
If you decide to follow the webs, it will take you north and will take you to another telephone pole. Players need to shoot this pole to interact with it, which will reveal a ‘W’. Heading west, you’ll find yet another shootable pole that will reveal ‘NW’ carved into it.

Unfortunately, this is where the puzzle ends for now. If you head northwest, you’ll find a guitar in Fort Wallace, but nothing is triggered when you interact with it. It also leads you to Spider Gorge, but the trail has run cold.
According to the game's files, the feathers are called ‘spiderdreams’, hence the name of the mystery. Players are now trying to shoot the feathers in a certain order to see if that unlocks anything. Unfortunately, nothing has come of it.
While fans hope this mystery will be solved, the webs could have been part of cut content that was left over in the game with no actual payoff. Rockstar has not commented on the mystery, and neither has it been revealed to either, so we may not have an answer for some time. If it is cut content, though, hopefully Rockstar can add a conclusion in a future update, or when the next-gen upgrade releases. For now, it will keep fans busy until the release of Grand Theft Auto VI.
