After the game’s announcement at the Video Games Awards in December of 2025, and a previous promise of a 2026 release date, studio Fuse Games has delivered!

Star Wars: Galactic Racer will have players enter the shoes of the mysterious Shade, a racer out for revenge, while they explore a single-player Star Wars racing experience with multiplayer racing elements. Set across several worlds, a few of which were newly created for the game, three kinds of vehicle, the speeder bike, the landspeeder, and the skin speeder, will take players along varied tracks with environmental obstacles as well as threats in the form of the other racers.

The game’s release date, newly unveiled, is October 6th, 2026. Available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, pre-orders have opened for three versions, the Standard, Deluxe, or Collector's Edition. Additional bonuses can be earned via this pre-order, and the new trailer for the release date showcases several of them. Most prominently, a yellow and chrome paint job inspired by the Naboo Royal Starfighters, or the N-1, is up for grabs, while other pre-order liveries are locked to the service a customer orders the game from.

Here’s to hoping Zero Company has its 2026 release date confirmed soon as well!
