Sony Pictures Entertainment joined in on the National Spider-Man Day celebrations when they posted a brief teaser featuring the hero’s new suit design for the upcoming film Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026) on August 1, 2025.  The following day, the company posted a much clearer look at the suit. Holland was shown wearing a significantly more barebones version of the suit, moving away from the high-tech appearance. The coloring is a darker red with dark blue areas, web detailing, and an elongated spider symbol, reminiscent of Andrew Garfield’s and Tobey Maguire’s suits, character iterations that the main Peter Parker met during Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021). This suit design pays homage to previous Spider-Men and visibly seems to align with the character’s current realistic resources.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is currently scheduled to hit theaters on July 31, 2026. The film is set a while after No Way Home (2021), which concluded with Doctor Strange casting a spell to make the world forget that Peter Parker exists. Peter is now enrolled in college, trying to focus on his classes and distance himself from his vigilante identity. A new threat arises, forcing him to pick up the suit once again and team up with another vigilante to protect those he cares about. The previous MCU Spider-Man films are available to stream on Disney+.
