'Star Wars Zero Company' Answers Questions In Their First Q&A

EA recently posted a major Q&A blog post about Star Wars Zero Company on their website, where behind-the-scenes figures answered questions about the upcoming game. Covering a wide range of topics asked by users on the game’s Discord official server, alongside a set of company-posed questions and answers, anyone interested even slightly in this game should take a look over the blog. We won’t be covering all of the questions and their answers, but wanted to point out some of the highlights.
Several of the questions dealt with the presence of clone troopers, their armor, and their role in the story. Interestingly, it was revealed that players will gain access to clone trooper armor and its cosmetics from the very start of the game, before gaining access to clone troopers later in the story. The armor itself has a range of marking and coloration customization options, but the studio was a little vague on if environmental or other different types of Phase I or II armor would appear.

Several questions also asked for details regarding Operators, be they the Authored cast of characters, or the Custom Operators players will get to create for themselves. Teams are locked to four Operators per mission, though some missions will allow players to control other characters (probably characters like Anakin Skywalker!). Unfortunately, aside from astromechs, Custom Operators will not be available as other kinds of droid, and the blog also repeatedly emphasized that when Hawks takes to the field, they must survive or else it is game over.
Lastly, the blog mentioned that the collector’s edition will have more news revealed about it on “the weekend” which almost certainly means Saturday, July 25th. This is the day of BitReactor’s San Diego Comic-Con panel discussing Zero Company with the game’s cast of voice actors. While they state “We look forward to announcing our full cast in the lead up to San Diego Comic-Con.”, as of the time of writing, there doesn’t appear to be any further announcements about the cast. While the internet has determined a few VAs, and the blog itself confirms Dee Bradley Baker is back to voice the clones in the story, we might be waiting for Saturday itself to learn more.
