An official EDM Remix of The Mandalorian’s iconic main theme has been released ahead of its theatrical debut on May 22. The bold reimagining of the famous theme by three-time Academy Award winner Ludwig Göransson is produced by world-famous DJ Boyz Noise, who is well-known for his techno-punk aesthetic. The new track is titled “The Mandalorian (Boyz Noise Remix)” and puts a dark, electronic spin on the show’s signature Western sounds. Accompanying the remix is a promotional image of Din and Grogu in a neon-lit urban setting, most likely on Shakari, the planet with a Martin Scorsese connection. Shakari is a new planet introduced in the movie, where Scorsese’s Ardennian shopkeeper runs a food truck business. Shakari is a fast-paced city-like planet with a high crime rate and no shortage of scum and villainy.

Boys Noize is a Berlin-based artist named Alex Ridha, who’s well known for his collaborations with artists such as Lady Gaga, Skrillex, Frank Ocean, and Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. Ridha also recently produced the TRON: Ares soundtrack, and his Mandalorian Remix puts the show’s main theme among a few Star Wars tracks to be given the electronic dance music treatment. The complete score for The Mandalorian and Grogu, composed by Ludwig Göransson, will be released on May 15. The Mandalorian and Grogu is directed by Jon Favreau, and stars Pedro Pascal, Sigourney Weaver, and Jeremy Allen White. The film releases in theaters on May 22.
