The Newton Brothers To Score 'Carrie' Soundtrack For Prime Video

Mike Flanagan is reuniting with old friends! It’s officially been confirmed that John Andrew Grush and Taylor Newton Stewart (Better known as The Newton Brothers) have been tapped to score Flanagan’s upcoming Carrie miniseries for Amazon Prime Video!
The Newton Brothers (not actual brothers) are no strangers to Mike Flanagan projects. The three of them began their collaboration on Flanagan’s sophomore directorial effort, the 2013 horror film Oculus. Since then, the Newton Brothers have scored every single film Flanagan has helmed including Hush, Before I Wake, Ouija: Origin of Evil, Gerald’s Game, Doctor Sleep, and The Life of Chuck. The Newton Brothers have also scored all of Mike Flanagan’s television projects including The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, Midnight Mass, The Midnight Club, and The Fall of the House of Usher. While not yet confirmed, the Newton Brothers are expected to score Flanagan’s upcoming filmThe Exorcist: Martyrs.

Mike Flanagan’s wide array of acclaimed horror projects aren’t the only ones of note The Newton Brothers have scored. Most recently they provided the score for Chris Stuckmann’s directorial debut Shelby Oaks, Emma Tammi’s Five Nights at Freddy’s films, the Disney+ Goosebumps reboot, and The Walking Dead: World Beyond. Perhaps their biggest claims to fame are their Marvel scores. Since 2025, they’ve scored the hit Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again, replacing original series composer John Paesano. Since 2024, the duo has provided the score for the hit Emmy-nominated animated series X-Men ‘97. They’re expected to return for the third seasons of both series.
Carrie is expected to premiere on Amazon Prime Video this October.
