The latest episode of The Mandalorian might just feature some of the most unexpected appearances from celebrities thus far in the Star Wars galaxy. Before this week’s episode, the show has featured celebrities such as Jason Sudeikis, Adam Pally, Bill Burr, Amy Sedaris and Tim Meadows. This week, however, featured three big celebrity names.

This week on The Mandalorian, Din, Grogu, and Bo-Katan are attempting to locate a group of Mandalorians on the planet Plazir-15. The planet does not have any affiliation to the New Republic, and is doing quite well after the fall of the Empire. Before the group can find any of the mercenaries they seek, they meet the rulers of Plazir-15, who just happen to be played by Lizzo and Jack Black.

Lizzo and Jack Black play the Duchess and Captain Bombardier, a wealthy married couple who rule over the independent planet. During their time together, Bombardier explains that he was a former Imperial officer who participated in an amnesty program offered by the New Republic. The two appear to have a fabulous time on the show, and at one point, Grogu uses his Force powers to help Lizzo win at what appears to be space bocce ball. Lizzo is a well-known fan of Grogu; in 2021 she even dressed up as him for Halloween.

Then, while Grogu is living it up with Black and Lizzo, our other two main characters run into another legend in Christopher Lloyd, whose character turns out to be a Separatist. At one point he even gives a monologue about how much he admires Count Dooku.

This season of Mandalorian will continue next Wednesday.
