From impossible missions to New York superheroes, Tramell Tillman has joined the cast of Sony and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Alongside Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas, Tillman’s role in the newest web-slinging adventure is unknown.

A rising star, Tillman has seen plenty of roles to his name since appearing in the 2018 dark comedy series Dietland. Appearing in series such as Godfather of Harlem and Hunters, he went on to appear in a supporting role as Seth Milchick in award award-winning Apple TV+ series Severance. A role he received award nominations for, including at the Emmys for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.

In speaking about his rising fame and making history as the first openly gay Black man recognised in the supporting actor drama category earlier in the year, Tillman said, “I’m not playing small for nobody. I’m not dimming my light for anybody. I have spent years doing that, and those days are done. Myself, stepping into that level of thinking and embodying, that is my own form of revolution.”

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to release in theatres on July 31, 2026, directed by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton. Tom Holland stars as Spider-Man, with Zendaya as MJ Jones-Watson, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, and Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk.
