It’s the last episode of the year! After this episode, Ian and Marty are going on a well-deserved holiday break; but before they do, they dive into some exciting Star Wars projects that were unfortunately cancelled before they even began. These include recent ones, such as The Hunt for Ben Solo and Rangers of the New Republic, but also older ideas such as Detours and Duel of the Fates. And, since it’s the final episode of the year, what better time to go back and look at some of the most exciting episodes of the pod? After all, 2025 gave us the second season of Andor and several other great releases. It was a good year to be a Star Wars fan!
What is Star Wars Culture LIVE? Most Wednesdays, at 7pm Eastern, two die-hard Star Wars fans embark on a voyage of celebration and nerdiness on a positive podcast focused on the best of the Star Wars fandom. These characters are Ian Bowling and Marty Ingleston, and they’ve been the hosts of SWCL since August of 2024. Since then, the podcast has gone through numerous stages of evolution: “Top 3” favorites, dad jokes, “On This Day”, guest appearances, and many other types of segments. This week, after a few short-but-exciting news updates, the guys discussed those cancelled Star Wars projects and reminisced about their year of podcasting.
