All The News From The 'Andor' Season 2 Panel At 'Star Wars' Celebration

Star Wars Celebration Japan day two held one of the most anticipated panels of the entire celebration, Andor season two. The panel’s guests were the creator of the series, Tony Gilroy, Diego Luna, Genevieve O’Reilly, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Alan Tudyk, Adria Arjona, and executive producer Sanne Wohlenberg. At the beginning of the panel, Gilroy announced the schedule for season two, saying that there will be three episodes a week, with each covering a year in the lead up to Rogue One.
O’Reilly told fans that Mon Mothma’s journey throughout the season will lead to new worlds and that we will start on Chandrilla with a wedding. Gough explained that we would finally get to see where Dedra comes from, but warned that this season is going to be very dark. Arjona teased fans by saying that when we meet Bix in the new season, she has left home, and that we will get a sneak peek at a “beautiful relationship” that starts forming with Cassian.

It was also announced that Tudyk will be bringing fan-favorite droid, K-2SO, to Andor and that we will get to see him “be born.” Luna tells fans about how much he loved working with Tudyk again and how much fun they had. The panel ended with Luna excitedly telling attendees that this is “for your eyes only” and then premiered the first episode of the new season.
Andor season one is available to stream on Disney+, and season two will premiere on the platform this coming Tuesday, April 22.
