Ryan Coogler is directing an unnamed horror film starring Michael B. Jordan and recently had success recruiting more actors to the project. Delroy Lindo, known for his performances in Unprisioned and The Harder They Fall, will join the project along with Jack O’Connell. None of the actors’ roles have been revealed, but Jordan is rumored to play multiple parts or possibly twin brothers. Lindo’s part will contain some musical elements. O’Connell was cast as the film’s villain.

The film is set in the Jim Crow-era South and will feature supernatural elements based on Southern tradition. Vampires are expected to appear in the film as well. Coogler wrote the script and is producing the movie with Proximity Media. Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian will also serve as producers. Shooting will begin in New Orleans later this spring season.

Coogler, Jordan, and Lindo share a connection outside of this movie. They have all had the pleasure of working with the late Chadwick Boseman, Lindo in Da 5 Bloods, and Coogler and Jordan in Black Panther. Lindo is still active in the MCU as he is in negotiations for a role in Blade, another movie with a vampire theme. Coogler’s untitled project is slated for a March 7, 2025 release date.
