The Batman: Part II may have found its newest villain. Charles Dance is in talks to join the film. Although his role remains unconfirmed, many fans expect him to play Charles Dent, Harvey Dent's father. If cast, he will star alongside Sebastian Stan, who plays Harvey, and Scarlet Johansson, who is expected to play Dent’s wife. Robert Pattinson will return in the title role. Dance is most known for his role as Tywin Lannister in Game of Thrones. Tywin was one of the most ruthless and envious characters in the show. If the rumors are true, Dance will have a similar role in the Batman sequel.

Production on The Batman: Part II will begin in the spring with a release date of October 1, 2027. Matt Reeves returns as director with James Gunn and Peter Safran as co-bosses and Dylan Clark as producer. DC Studios had no comment on Dance’s potential role, but Pattinson called the script extraordinary in a recent interview. He said, “I think it’s going to be a really, really, really special movie. And very, very different to…even from the last one. I was reading it going like, ‘Oh wow! Okay!’ It’s going to be interesting seeing it come out. It’s taking some big swings.
