The wait is almost over for Netflix’s beloved storm cloud to return to the small screen! The season two trailer for Wednesday dropped on July 9, giving fans a savory glimpse of what to expect in the upcoming second season.

After a much-deserved summer break, Wednesday’s family drives her back to campus for what her mother, Morticia, states is the first time Wednesday has ever willingly returned to a school. Without missing a beat in Jenna Ortega’s perfectly delivered Wednesday style, sharp wit, the character claims it is “like returning to the scene of a crime,” after all, she “already knows where the bodies are buried.” Well, she thinks she does anyway…

After a summer of working out…her psychic abilities, she is about to realize that her all the colors of the rainbow loving, cheerful werewolf bestie is in danger, and not only must she somehow stop whatever is coming for Enid, but it is Wednesday’s fault.

Enid greets Wednesday in her typical upbeat way, “Howdy, roomie. We’re gonna have so much fun.” To which, Wednesday replies, “I’m where fun goes to die.” Are the last few lines between these two in the trailer foreshadowing Enid’s fate? We will all find out together in the two-part release, with the first four episodes dropping on Netflix on August 6, followed by the second four just in time to kick off spooky season on September 3!
