Sebastian Stan Talks 'The Batman: Part II'

Sebastian Stan’s recent comments about The Batman: Part II have fans totally hyped. Stan spoke to Variety about the Robert Pattinson-led film, which is currently in production in the UK. Although there’s plenty of speculation about what role he’s playing, the actor tried to keep it secret.
Speaking about working on The Batman, Stan admitted it will be a long winter, and he’s nowhere near completing his part in the movie. Stan said, “What I’ll say is this: there’s no way people will fully grasp how this movie is until they see it. I go to set sometimes and I look around and I’m like, ‘I think we’re making fucking THE GODFATHER PART 2’ — I feel that highly about it.” Almost everyone among the cast of the next Batman movie has high praise for the film’s script, which took its writer and director, Matt Reeves, a long time to finish.

About Reeves, Sebastian said, “Matt has spent three years working on it. There’s a lot of speculation about these roles, about what this movie is, but I think it’s going to be a good payoff — it’s really grounded and real, and that’s what I loved about it. You want to tease it a little, but we still have a long time.” Recently, there’s been speculation online that the entire movie takes place over one day, but this is apparently false. Reeves officially confirmed that the movie will take place over the winter, so Christmas and New Year’s Eve may feature heavily in the film’s plot. Reeves teased snow, and recent leaks of the Batmobile in heavy snow and an updated suit for Pattinson’s Batman have fans on the edge of their seats. Pattinson is currently on a generational run after a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score for his latest release, Primetime. Before that, the actor’s performances in The Odyssey and The Drama were the talk of the town. Later this year, Pattinson will be seen again in Dune: Part Three. The Batman: Part II, starring Robert Pattinson, Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson, and Colin Farrell, will be released in theaters on February 18, 2028.
