'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' Filming Halted After Tom Holland Injured On Set

What is it with notable actors suffering significant injuries that put productions on hold recently? Hopefully, this doesn’t become a trend.
Recently, we reported that Henry Cavill apparently sustained an injury significant enough to delay filming of the next iteration of the Highlander IP. Now, Deadline is reporting that Tom Holland suffered a head injury shortly after filming for Spider-Man: Brand New Day began, causing a production stop!
The head injury, reportedly sustained during stuntwork for the next Sony-Disney partnership film, was apparently diagnosed as a mild concussion, and that while Holland was taken to the hospital, he was not admitted to the facility’s care. He has since apparently attended a charity event with acting co-star and fiancée Zendaya.
Filming for Brand New Day is set to resume in a few days, differentiating this incident from the apparently significant one that pushed Highlander’s production start date from 2025 to 2026. Given how Holland was cooped up on a soundstage to shoot the entirety of the previous Spider-Man film installment, one can perhaps imagine there is a high energy in the air on the set of Brand New Day that might take a hit after this sobering suffering inflicted on the film’s lead actor. Hopefully, this injury proves to be the last on set, and the rest of the film goes smoothly.
