The Switch 2 has had a bit of a mixed bag of success after its release in June. Mario Kart World has seen widespread success; however, there is some dismay online by those who don’t like how Nintendo has handled updates to the game. Despite that, Donkey Kong Bananza received unanimous praise.

But there hasn’t been much of a new library yet, aside from backward-compatible games and some ports. There’s been concern as well with some ports about the technical capabilities of the Switch 2 for some of the more graphically demanding games.

That doesn’t seem to be the case with the Switch 2 port of Star Wars: Outlaws. So far, all reports about the performance of the Ubisoft port are glowing. In fact, Digital Foundry ran an analysis of the port and called it the most impressive port to date.

There have been comparisons to the Xbox Series S and the Steam Deck. Both don’t hold up as well to the Switch 2’s performance with the game.

The Switch 2’s use of DLSS helps the game run at a steady 30 frames per second at 1440p when the system is docked.
