'Supergirl' Writer Ana Nogueira To Write DC Studios 'Wonder Woman'

Ana Nogueira’s work in the DCU reboot is far from over. According to The Wrap, Nogueira, currently tied to Supergirl (2026) and Teen Titans, is now going to write for Wonder Woman as well. The film is in extremely early stages, so little has been released regarding the cast and crew. This piece of Wonder Woman content will be joined by a short series currently titled Paradise Lost, which will feature the hero’s home, Themyscira. It will be an installment to Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, though its exact position is unconfirmed without a release date.
Nogueira has experience in writing and acting. She wrote the 2016 play Empathitrax, the 2022 play Which Way to the Stage, and the short film We Win (2018). Some of her best-known roles include Penny Ares in The Vampire Diaries, Donna in Hightown, Lina Mercer in The Blacklist, Abby in Good Session (2017), and Molly Black in The Battery’s Down. Noguiera’s experiences are widely varied, giving her a unique background to bring to the DCU.

Supergirl (2026) follows Superman’s cousin, Kara Zor-El, in the time leading up to her arrival on Earth. In her travels across space with Krypto, celebrating her 21st birthday, she meets the warrior Ruthye Marye Knoll. Together, they go on a revenge quest targeting the being that killed her parents. It is set to release on June 26, 2026. The other projects, currently titled Wonder Woman and Teen Titans respectively, have no plot details or release window. All three films will be a part of Chapter One: Gods and Monsters of the DCU reboot.
