Famed Scottish comic writer Grant Morrison has given their two cents on the new Superman movie. Morrison had previously voiced approval for the James Gunn film, and maintained that they considered it the “best Superman movie yet.” They also had a few points of criticism, saying, “It became the closest to capturing what Superman feels like. I had a few things I didn't like about it. [James] made specific choices that I think were made for dramatic reasons that were understandable...in order to make him seem more relatable, he had him getting beaten up an awful lot. I want to see him stop getting beaten up and fight back.”

Morrison also spoke of the controversial twist involving Jor-El and Lara (spoilers) sending their son to earth to conquer it, “I didn't like it because I prefer wit hen (sic) Krypton's this lost utopia. I like the idea that there was something amazing, and nature just wiped it out.” They did feel that it “worked” within the context of the film, at least. Their comments are sure to generate some online discussion, but for now, we’ll conclude this here. Further news can be found on our website on related and other articles.
