Season four of Amazon Prime VIdeo’s The Boys finally has a release date, giving fans a new reason to anticipate the summer months. It is set to premiere on June 13, 2024, with one episode released per week. There will be eight episodes in total. Based on the teaser trailer released in December of last year, the show’s universe is at a tipping point. Homelander is continuing to build his power as Victoria Neuman builds her political leverage; at this point, Neuman also possesses a virus that can kill supes introduced in Gen V. Butcher is no longer the leader of The Boys, but he is still in the game in some capacity. As that trailer’s description reads, “With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.”

The Boys is developed by Eric Kripke. It is based on the Dynamite Entertainment comics of the same name. Series regulars include Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Antony Starr as Homelander, Laz Alonso as M.M., Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko Miyashiro, Jack Quaid as Hughie Campbell, Nathan Mitchell as Black Noir, and Erin Moriarty as Starlight.

There’s plenty of time to watch or rewatch the first few seasons of The Boys to catch up on the plot! All three seasons are currently available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. If you’re antsy for more content, a spinoff series set in the same universe, Gen V, is available on Prime as well. The series follows a group of students at Godolkin University as they push themselves and compete to secure the best futures as professional supes; as IMDb specifies, they are “the first generation of superheroes to know that their powers are from Compound V.”
