'The Mandalorian And Grogu' Event In Mexico Brings Pedro Pascal To Tears

Pedro Pascal at CCXP Mexico 2026

Present at last year’s CCXP Mexico to promote The Fantastic Four: First Steps, this time around, Pedro Pascal’s focus in 2026 was on another big IP and its important impact on his life.

Speaking in front of a crowd at the panel for The Mandalorian and Grogu, Pascal’s emotions ran high after expressing his heartfelt feelings regarding the film, theatres, and the franchise as a whole. He spoke about how much he enjoyed going to the theatre to watch films when he was a child, with Star Wars playing a special part in his childhood memories, while also noting he’d hoped that Din Djarin and Grogu would make it to the big screen someday. Now, they have, and after becoming teary-eyed, attributing it to his age in a joking manner, he further stated that the film is something out of his dreams, and he’s delighted to share it with everyone.

Pascal was joined at the panel by Jon Favreau, who provided his own background with the Star Wars franchise, and what it means to him for the characters and world he’s been building to appear on theatre screens. But Pascal’s moment in particular prompted an outpouring of emotion from the audience in turn, as his name was cheered.

With only a few weeks to go until the film’s full release, the growth in publicity is sure to see similar moments as the various creatives and actors express how much this project means to them. The Mandalorian and Grogu is in theatres May 21st, 2026.
