Tom Hiddleston Talks Loki's Return In 'Avengers: Doomsday'

Tom Hiddleston has confirmed a Loki return. In the recently dropped trailer for Avengers: Doomsday , fans got to see Thor and Love, but it appears more of the Asgardian family will be making a cameo. Hiddleston stated that he was a part of the project in a recent interview. He sang the praises of the script and warned us to expect a movie of epic proportions.

“It is monumental. The centre of the story is absolutely brilliant, and was so surprising when I read it. It just has never been done before.”

The last time we saw the God of Mischief was in 2023 at the end of Loki Season 2, sitting on a throne of time, holding all the branching timelines together. Are the Russo Brothers planning to unseat him in Avengers: Doomsday? It seems likely.

Other Marvels are also returning for the new Avengers movie, including Chris Evans, Paul Rudd, Hayley Atwell, Patrick Stewart (as Professor X) and the cast of The Fantastic Four: First Steps. With Robert Downey. Jr at the helm, it’s going to be so star-studded that fans will need shades to watch it.

Avengers: Doomsday is currently scheduled to hit theaters in December 2026. Luckily for Hiddleston, all his scenes are in the can, as he’s going to be extremely busy over the next few months. He and fellow Marvel actress Zawe Ashton welcomed their second child into the world at the end of December.
