What Do We Know About Season 3 Of 'The Rings Of Power'?

The Amazon original series Rings of Power, focusing on the Second Age of Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings, was renewed for a third season, and a few details have emerged. Production for the season began last month at their new base, Shepperton Studios. The creators previously confirmed a time skip between the second and third seasons. According to the official synopsis, “Jumping forward several years from the events of season 2, season 3 takes place at the height of the War of the Elves and Sauron, as the Dark Lord seeks to craft the One Ring that will give him the edge he needs to win the war and conquer all Middle-earth at last.”

Morfydd Clark, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Charlie Vickers, and Robert Aramayo will reprise their roles as Galadriel, Arondir, Sauron, and Elrond. They are joined by newcomers Jamie Campbell Bower, Eddie Marsan, Andrew Richardson, Zubin Varla, and Adam Young in undisclosed roles. The original showrunners and executive producers, J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay, are teaming up with executive producers Lindsey Weber, Justin Doble, Kate Hazell, and executive producer-director Charlotte Brandstrom for the new seasons. Matthew Penry-Davey serves as a producer while Ally O’Leary, Tim Keene, and Andrew Lee take on the role of co-producers. Rings of Power Season 3 does not currently have a release date.
