The second of the Star Wars prequel series, Attack of the Clones picks up ten years after Anakin and Padme meet each other on Tatooine in The Phantom Menace. Anakin is now 19 years old and an accomplished Jedi Padawan, while Padmé is 24 and has transitioned from being the Queen of Naboo to its Senator. When Padme is the target of a series of assassination attempts, Chancellor Palpatine suggests that Anakin would be a good choice to protect her. This leads to their spending time together and rekindling their childhood friendship, which ultimately ends up with Anakin and Padme falling in love and secretly getting married at the end of the film with C-3PO and R2-D2 as witnesses. The two don’t let their roles and responsibilities get in the way of their love for each other, and we don’t have to think of the tragedy of Revenge of the Sith while we celebrate this young love.

Based on a bestselling novel by Audrey Niffenegger, this film stars Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams. Bana is the Time-Traveler, Henry, who was born with the ability to time-travel. The problem is, he has very little control over when he pops in and out of the present. This makes life difficult for McAdams’s Clare, the titular Wife. Henry met Clare when she was young, and he pops in on her throughout her growing-up years until they get married. They are in love with each other, but Henry’s random time-traveler jaunts puts strain on their marriage, along with their attempts to have a baby. The bottom line is to cherish each moment you do have with your loved ones. Here’s to hoping that you are able to do this with your loved ones this Valentine’s Day!
