Netflix has released the trailer for a new, no-holds-barred documentary on the life of Charlie Sheen. Sheen starred in movies such as Platoon and Red Dawn, but is especially known for his lead role in Two And A Half Men. During his time on the show, he became the highest-paid actor on television. Eventually, he had a huge falling out with producer Chuck Lorre, which led to his firing. Aside from his acting talents, Sheen was famous for his wild lifestyle of drugs, partying, and prostitutes. Now, viewers will be able to hear his story from the mouths of those around him and Charlie Sheen himself.
The trailer begins with Charlie Sheen discussing his quick rise to fame, and how everything was going smoothly and no one got hurt… “at first.” This leads to the numerous celebrities who have been interviewed for the project. The names include Sean Penn, Jon Cryer, Chuck Lorre, and Denise Richards. Through a montage, they each describe how “you wanted to like him because lovable, brilliant, handsome, charming, and smart.” This devolves as his darker side comes more into light, which opens up interviews with his daughter and his drug dealer. Sheen ponders how hard it must’ve been for his father, and promises that nothing is off limits for the interviewers to ask him. Going as far as to say that, “The stuff I plan on sharing, I had made a sacred vow to only reveal to a therapist.”
