When Destiny 2 fans logged in on Wednesday, many noted that the free daily bonus Nonary Engram was no longer available.  Bungie had pulled the plug on the engram promotion for a brief period to work on a patch for an infinite item glitch, but now the bonus is active once again.  This item is tied to the week-long event nicknamed ‘Loot-a-Palooza’ leading into the upcoming Edge of Fate game expansion.

Some fans discovered an exploitable glitch for the engram, allowing them to cycle through infinite items by deleting characters en masse after redeeming the item.  On X, the company confirmed, “The issue affecting the daily bonus Nonary Engram has been resolved. Players can now log in and visit the Emissary to claim the bonus engram every day until July 15. We are investigating options to send players one bonus engram sometime after Edge of Fate launches due to yesterday's pause and will provide details when available.”  A bonus engram is the company’s way of trying to make it fairer for those players who did not exploit the glitch and missed their chance to participate in this part of the event while it was shut down.

The Edge of Fate expansion will be released on July 15, 2025, capping off the Rite of the Nine dungeon event that began in May.  This content pack will give players a new place to explore and new moves to utilize, and kicks off the Fate Saga for the game.  It will be a paid access expansion.  Destiny 2 is available to play on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and 5, and PC.
